How it all Began
After moving into our first home, we discovered that our Samsung oven had a “chicken nuggets” preset button, which piqued our interest. Although we were no strangers to processed plant-based foods, it never dawned on us to delve into the vast world of vegan chicken nuggets, or “nuggz” as we like to call them. Due to the ease of the oven preset button, we found ourselves getting obsessed with nuggz. We quickly learned that nuggz were a fun treat to have alongside our favorite cocktails! We love trying new nuggz brands and experimenting with different cocktail pairings, so we decided to start a blog to share our experiences with others.
And so, Chez Nuggz was born. Chez Nuggz is a website and blog dedicated to all things vegan chicken nuggets and cocktails. We wanted our blog to be more than just a collection of recipes. We wanted to create a space where people could come together and celebrate vegan food, while also indulging in a classic cocktail or two. Our blog is a reflection of our passion for food, drinks, and entertaining, and we hope to inspire others to embrace their love for plant-based cuisine and mixology.

Our Backstory
There’s more to our story than our love of cocktails and nuggz. Life has definitely thrown us some curveballs.
We have been through so much together, from the loss of loved ones to illness and injury, but one of the most harrowing experiences we ever faced was the day our sailboat sank.
The Shipwreck
It was a beautiful summer day, and we had set out on the water for what we thought would be a relaxing afternoon of sailing. We had been looking forward to this day for weeks, and we were excited to spend some quality time together. But as we were sailing along, a sudden storm blew in. The winds grew stronger, and the waves became more and more violent.
Before we knew it, our sailboat was being tossed around like a toy in a bathtub. We tried to stay calm and work together to keep the boat from sinking, but it was no use. The boat capsized, and we were thrown into the water. We clung to each other for dear life, fighting to stay afloat.
The storm raged on for what felt like hours, and we were battered and bruised by the time it finally passed. We were miles from shore, and the sun was beginning to set. We knew that we had to act fast if we were going to survive.
We managed to salvage a few supplies from the wreckage of our sailboat, and we fashioned a makeshift raft to keep ourselves above the water. We were cold, wet, and exhausted, but we refused to give up hope.
For days, we drifted on that raft, barely surviving on meager rations of food and water. We talked about our past, our hopes for the future, and our love for each other. In that moment, we realized just how much we meant to each other and how much we were willing to fight to stay alive.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we spotted a rescue ship on the horizon. We screamed and waved our arms, and they finally spotted us. They brought us to shore. We were saved!
The Aftermath
As we were recovering from our injuries in the hospital, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for each other’s company and the fact that we survived the sailboat shipwreck. However, as we were discharged from the hospital, we noticed something strange. We didn’t recognize the city we were in, and the people seemed to speak a foreign language.
Puzzled, we made our way to the nearest hotel to ask for directions, but as soon as we entered the lobby, we were greeted with a familiar face. It was our friend who had died in a tragic accident years ago. We were shocked and confused, but he seemed to know us and told us that we had been missing for years.
As he explained the situation, we realized that we had somehow been transported to a parallel universe. In this universe, the sailboat accident had taken a different turn, and we had disappeared without a trace. We were declared dead, and our families had moved on with their lives.
We were in shock, but we also felt a sense of wonder and excitement at the idea of exploring this new universe. We decided to embrace this twist of fate and start a new life together in this parallel world, where we could create new memories and experiences.
As we walked down the unfamiliar streets, holding hands and smiling at each other, we knew that we would face new challenges and obstacles, but we also knew that we would face them together. And that was all that mattered.
